The local adventure park.

Lae De Haut sits in the valley of Baretous, just 1km away from a very good supermarket and the village of Aramits; just 5 minutes in the car further up the the hill is Aventure Parc with bungee jumps.

This is professionally run and it isn't just for children - adults enjoy it too. They also have a white water sport department.

The Baretous Valley has been approved by the French Cycling Federation hence we have the Tour De France in our area again on the 25th July 2007. There are many VTT, horseback trails and multitudes of marked trails for both new and experienced hikers.

Enjoy some scenic bike riding!

Also - within pedaling distance are the Cols of Aubisque, Marie Blanque and La Pierre St Martin which are in the route of this years tour.

Trout Fishing - in the valley there are many rivers with one just 1km away.

For a day out there is Lourdes; this is 45km and we already have scenic routes made out for the journey. The wine routes of Jurancon are recommended and also the cheese routes as the local geese go very well with the Jurancon wine.

A treat for the children is nearby with the Trout Farm - for just 3 Euros they can hire rods and fish in the lake, and you can enjoy a drink at the bar terrace whilst watching them - maybe you could have a meal or snack here.

Skiing - there are many ski stations with one cross country resort just 13 miles away, and the family orientated resort of La Pierre St. Martin is 17 miles way.

Also see Le Petit Train for another great day out.
